This policy explains how the Android app Emoji Calendar, developed by Iván Ramírez, handles information. The app package name is es.ivanr.emojicalendar.
Summary
Emoji Calendar is local-first. It does not require an account or an internet connection for its core features. The developer does not operate analytics, advertising, tracking or a server that stores your calendar content. We do not sell your information.
Information stored on your device
The app stores the information you choose to create, such as calendars, emojis, colors, notes, answers to custom fields, selected contact names, photos, voice recordings and app preferences. It also stores local reminder settings and the local status of your Emoji Calendar Pro entitlement.
Photos and voice recordings remain in the app's private storage unless you deliberately export or share them as part of a backup or another Android action. The app does not automatically upload this content to the developer.
Optional permissions and integrations
- Microphone: used only when you choose to record a voice note. The recording is saved locally.
- Calendar: if enabled, the app reads the device calendars and events you select so they can be shown alongside your days. It does not upload them to the developer.
- Contacts: if you use a people field, the app reads contact names and may read a contact thumbnail to help you choose people. The selected answer is stored locally as part of your calendar data.
- Health Connect: if enabled and authorised by you, the app reads only the health metrics you select, such as steps, distance, active calories, heart rate, sleep duration or weight. The data is read-only, displayed in the calendars where you add it, and is not sent to the developer or shared for advertising.
- Notifications and device restart: used only to deliver check-in reminders that you enable. Vibration is used for app feedback when enabled.
Google Play purchases
Emoji Calendar Pro is an optional one-time purchase made through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment, purchase status and related transaction information under its own terms and privacy policy. The developer does not receive your payment details.
The app checks the purchase through Google Play and keeps the resulting Pro entitlement locally so the features can be unlocked. The purchase token is not sent to a developer-operated server. For more information, see Google's privacy policy.
Backups and exports
When you export a backup or an ICS calendar file, Android lets you choose where the file goes and whether to share it with another app or person. A backup can contain your calendars, settings, answers, photos and voice notes. An optional four-digit PIN can encrypt an Emoji Calendar backup. Once you share a file, the receiving service's policy applies.
Retention and deletion
Local data remains on your device until you erase it in the app, clear the app's data or uninstall the app. Android may restore local app data from a device backup if that feature is enabled in your Android settings. You can revoke permissions at any time in Android settings; doing so stops the related integration but does not automatically erase data already saved in your calendar.
This website
This static website is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process basic connection information, such as an IP address and request details, to deliver and protect the site under its privacy policy. The site has no account area, contact form, advertising, analytics or non-essential cookies.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices change materially, this page will be updated with a new date. The current version is always available at this URL.
